"The Christmas Wish"

To see his eyes
To touch his face
To bring him home from that far away place.
To feel his touch
To hold him tight
To take him away from the everyday fight.
To hold his hand
To hear his voice everyday
There is so much more that I could say.
My main wish is for him to be safe.
You are not alone my love
You are just in a distant place.
I love you with all of my heart.
We will not forever be apart.
Close your eyes and I will do the same,
Listen closely, you will hear me say your name.
When you hear it, open your eyes and look at the first star you see,
Make a wish and send it to me.
Merry Christmas My Soldier.
