I have been a member of the web-site and I thoroughly enjoy everything
your web-site offers. My boyfriend and I have been together for 7 years and
are planning to get engaged. He is currently at the U.S. Naval Academy and
he is hoping to be commissioned into the Marine Corps upon graduation in
May of 2001. He is 23 years old and my best friend in the world. Right now
he is training in a Leatherneck program down in Quantico. Your site through
its poem and stories has helped me a lot and I would like to contribute a
poem I wrote for him 2 years ago. Thank you for everything.

He stands tall in his crisp white linen
He portrays the example of American society
He honors all the veterans from the wars we've been in
He stands tall, uniform never untidy

Through him, I strive
for greatness, excellence and
He demonstrates unending pride
for his nation, a love that never will end

To believe in someone so great
To model after someone so strong
It could only be fate
This is so right, it could never be wrong

I feel such pride when he is in my thoughts
I know he can succeed in all he does
Just like all the men who have fought
He is what I wish I always was....................
