Thank You...Dorothy R. Burnett (My Mother-in-law)

As I cook dinner, help my son with his homework and take
down my baby girl's hair.  I think of the woman who has
always been there.  You would never think I'm not flesh of
her flesh not blood of her blood.  Only she can understand
the agony, when my husband is out to sea.  The path she
onced walked, I now follow.  She tries to keep my spirits up
and my heart from feeling hollow.  My days are short and my
nights are long.  I try to relax by listening to my
husband's favorite songs.  Only she can relate to wishing
your spouse was here to help bear the weight of having a
sick child, while the other has an appointment at 8:00.

As I cook dinner, help my son with his homework and take
down my baby girl's hair.  I thank the woman who has always
been there.
